Finally, after years of being on hold due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the design department of Munich University has successfully launched its much-anticipated design exhibition. Given the challenging times we have experienced, the project team set a clear goal for the exhibition's identity: to infuse it with a sense of fun, vibrant colors, and beautiful shapes.
Recognizing the need to uplift spirits and create an enjoyable experience, our team embarked on a mission to bring joy and liveliness to the exhibition. We wanted visitors to feel immediately enchanted when they entered the exhibition space.
In the times we have moved beyond, we have all followed our paths while remaining united in our chosen (professional) lives. Each medium we pursue is unique, yet together they form interconnected tracks. These diverse tracks converge, creating a tapestry of human expression, innovation, and collaboration. Within this interconnected mosaic, we celebrate individuality while recognizing the power of unity.
By approaching the design "animation first," we allowed effects to shape the tracks while still setting certain boundaries. This technique heightened the sense of playfulness within the design.
